It's Definitely Not a Hug: Update

Remember this picture from It's Definitely Not a Hug?

Think Progress reveals the awesome power of the presidential photo op--President Bush promised 74-year-old Ethel Williams that her house would be rebuilt. Four months later, not a thing has happened. Ms. Williams said, "[W]e all disappointed because nothing's been done."

G Bitch -- this is a great find. Thanks for putting it out there. That Ms. Williams must not be a G Bitch, because if she were, she's have Secret Service all over her, and Geedubya'd be rolling on the ground holding his crotch.

That picture is still so amazing: the expression on W's face, for instance!
I am of course not surprised Ms. Williams situation has not yet been resolved.

That is another gut-wrentching post. Here's hoping that the Spike Lee documentary on HBO this week will bring some new pressure from people get Ms. Williams house built.

And the tool from St. Bernard who had coffee with G-Dub today actually said, "Four more years!" on national and local television, and local news anchors smiled at this. I almost choked on my mirliton stew as a friend kept me from throwing the remote at the TV.

This, my friend, is why I will be surprised if NOLA gets back on its feet, better than before. We are the welcome mat of this nation and aren't screaming loud enough when we get the opportunity.

Four more years, indeed. Give me my money back, G Bitch (the prez, I mean).

"Four more years"--what a dumbass. Dubya would talk to some dumbass who wouldn't say anything substantial like, Dubya, you suck! Or, I wish I got paid vacations every year.

Bush needs to be impeached and Nagin needs to be recalled.

What really irked me was local news anchors smiling at the meeting and going "Aaaaaaw!"

If I were a New Orleanian news anchor, I would have looked into the camera for about five seconds with that knowing I-just-ate-a-decayed-fish stare.

Oh, the missed opportunities!
